Entry requirements
Submit by November 30, 2026 at 15:00 PT. Films must be no longer than 40 minutes including credits. Non-English dialogue requires English subtitles. Submit a private screening link, password if applicable, poster, synopsis and director information.
2026 Entry: FREE ENTRY
Entry to the entire 2026 Inaugural Edition is free. OnShow charges no festival entry fee, and no payment or Stripe Checkout is required. Official selections and awards require no additional payment.
Review and judging
Submissions progress through review to Official Selection, Finalist, Winner or Not Selected. Submission does not guarantee selection. Films are reviewed and curated before selection. Selected filmmakers will be notified by email before the online showcase begins. The jury evaluates the film independently of public streaming permission. Results may be announced on the film profile. If no entry meets a category’s standard, no award may be made.
Permanent film profiles
You must have the right to submit the film and all promotional materials. Submission grants OnShow non-exclusive permission to display the poster, stills, approved trailer, synopsis, director information and confirmed results. The profile may remain publicly displayed after the festival. Reasonable excerpts may be used for festival promotion only within the permissions actually granted; private full-film review permission alone does not authorize public excerpts or playback. Ownership remains with the rights holders. You may request withdrawal.
Separate, optional full-film streaming
Public Streaming Authorization is optional, is never pre-selected and does not affect judging. A private screening URL is for jury review only. It is never published as a full-film player. OnShow Watch requires separate permission, a suitable public playback source, editorial review and an Admin publishing decision.
Rights and withdrawal
You confirm that you hold the required film, image, music, performer and other rights. Contact [email protected] with your reference for corrections, rights concerns or withdrawal. OnShow will disable authorized playback under its control after verifying a request; third-party platforms control their own copies.
Festival format and support
The festival and December 15–25, 2026 showcase are online. No physical venue, theatrical screening or in-person event is offered. No cash prize is offered. Contact [email protected] for submission or service issues. Any historical payment records remain unchanged; the free-entry configuration applies to new submissions.
Privacy
The submitted email, private screening link, screening password and internal review notes are kept out of public film profiles. See the Privacy Policy.
Two independent public playback permissions
Festival-period permission covers only December 15–25, 2026 in U.S. Pacific Time (PT). Long-term permission has no fixed end date and continues until withdrawal. These are separate from permission to display your film title, poster, synopsis and director biography in a long-term Film Profile.
Both permissions are optional and independent. You may choose either, both or neither. Your choices do not affect festival consideration, judging, selection or awards.
Neither permission automatically publishes your film. A separate authorized public playback source, editorial approval and an explicit publishing decision are required. Your private festival screener and password will not be published. Long-term public viewing is planned for a later phase, once a suitable film library has been assembled.
You retain ownership. To withdraw either playback permission, contact [email protected] with your film reference. OnShow will disable playback under its control within five business days of a verified request, prioritizing urgent rights concerns. Third-party platforms control their own copies. Withdrawing full-film playback does not automatically remove your promotional Film Profile; you may request its removal separately.
